Off Roading near Chicagoland?
Hey guys,

I'm looking for a trail in the Chicagoland area where I can hone my skills a little, and see how my stock '06 T4R does off the highway. Need something easy to moderate, with some challenges along the way. Any suggestions?

Cliffs down in Marseilles IL would be the closest, but it's generally a muddy mess. I would recommend Badlands in Attica Indiana - great trails. Or there is Redbird in Dugger Indiana which is farther away but seems to offer more "mild" trails along with a good mix of pretty crazy stuff.

Or you can hit Missouri and find W-a-s-h-i-t-a or Flat Nasty, but that's a pretty good haul down there.

Silver Lake Dunes in Michigan is also wild, not much farther. Just camp and make a weekend of it.
