That's great feedback and a great use of the tray. If I still had my 3rd Gen this is definitely the way I would go.

Just received mine today. I have a 5th Gen with third row seat and from the initial look of things the tie downs don't really line up. If anyone has suggestions or pictures of how they strapped this thing down please post.
I'll be looking into other options tomorrow and will report back what I come up with.

Received and installed mine yesterday. Very happy with it so far.
I too have the 3rd row and am looking into a turnbuckle solution to more solidly secure it.

Got off work a little earlier today, and finally got a chance to install mine.
I too have the 3rd row seats. And using just the 4 straps with the cargo space tie downs do have "some" play, probably fine, but not as "solid" as I'd like.
So, I used the 2 remaining straps, and fish them thru from behind to the 2nd row seats' child-seat LATCH anchors (middle 2), and hook them to the rear cross member of the lower frame of the slide. Wa-la, that makes a night and day different! I can totally sit on the extended slide and it is not going anywhere! (Ok, I am nowhere near the 250lb limit.... but you get the idea)
More installation details in my build thread: Jicko Build Thread ...

Waking up this thread ;)
I finally broke down and got a fridge. Set it up with the Goal Zero to provide round the clock power, without impacting the 4Runner battery. This setup will go well with my camping trailer. ;)

How long will the Goal Zero 400 run your fridge with the car off? Then it charges fine using the rear power outlet & how in what time?
Nice setup...been thinking about doing the same.

I have gotten over 50 hrs straight on the yeti 400. I do not charge from the outlet, but from the panels during the day. So, during the day, I top up from solar, and deplete at night. I have run over 2 weeks this way with yeti never dropping below 60 %.

Greats choice of fridge!!
ARB 10800472 Fridge Freezer- 50 Quart
Theoretically, average DC(12V) power consumption: 0.7 to 2.3 amp hr
So, how much output are your panels?

@ Hammerhead
Not that much heat, never noticeable.
Jicko: Using this formula, at 60 watts DC, at 12v, I got 5 ah. Nominal is really 2.5. So no issues with this setup up, "except" when it is cloudy, all the numbers are crap. So, your milage will vary considerably.
DC watts to amps calculation
The current I in amps (A) is equal to the power P in watts (W), divided by the voltage V in volts (V):
I(A) = P(W) / V(V)
