Removable aftermarket CARGO TRAY/SLIDER *Group Buy* 2015
*updated 4/16/2015*
The group buy's ordering is in progress! (We had an allocation, once we get there, the GB will be closed.)
Ordering procedures had been sent out.
Beyond Cargo Slider for 4Runners/GX460 (all gens)
- with 3rd row seats
- without OEM slider
Group buy deal: $400 shipped (or to the manufacturer/dealer, or even you can see it as $300 + shipping)
The unit retail for $499, lowest price I can find anywhere else is $399 (close out, with few units left); PLUS $100 to $150 shipping due to the size/weight of the part (member had reported paying $115 for just shipping). I have looked at similar products out there (truck bed trays, much more expensive) and OEM solution (probably $1500 worth of parts, have to be order piece by piece); and seemingly, this is the best - cost, flexibility (in & out), and it being no perm install needed. By the way, this is going to be similar to, if not cheaper than, just a dedicated slider for a fridge!!
If you are not on the list, please sign up. I am pretty happy that this is quite a bit better than our original "ball park" cost! Ordering procedure will NOT be posted, this is a private group purchase deal.
They had licensed the patents to a FORD's supplier and no longer produce this cargo slides. They do have a small batch of brand new units that I have now negotiated this group purchase deal.
This will be perfect for your fridge and camping gears, while it is sturdy enough to carry the weight of your fridge and gears, it is still *easy* enough to be removed so that those "once in a while" usage of the 3rd row seat is permissible!
For more pics & info for the install, please take a look at this thread:

The deck itself measures 40" W x 35 1/2" deep.
There are 2 outward facing bolts on each side near the corners. These hold the drawer rails in place. If needed as anchor points the nuts could be removed and a longer screw could be used to add an anchor bracket. This is IF someone decided to bolt it down. There are also floor plates front and rear that run crosswise that could be used for the same purpose.

Specifications:
* 36 " Deep X 40" Wide
* Holds up to 250lbs
* Black Textured High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
* Great solution for conveniently securing groceries, tool boxes or other loads
* Good storage underneath the platform too
* Perfect for tailgating or cargo management on the go
* Numerous slots for securing cargo with straps, a net, bungee cord or other tie down methods
* Easily installed in minutes without drilling or alterations to vehicle
* Locks in closed position with a heavy duty weatherproof flush mounted handle

Ball park price?
Any updates for ball park pricing or purchase # targets?
Debating building drawers or possibly going this route with modular containers on top.

NOT AT ALL. This is a universal slider, that I believed will fit ANY gen/vehicle. I will post some dimensions.

It's a "universal fit". You need a clear space of 36" x 40". But according to the manual it fits the 4Runner best.
Did I read that first post right
@ jicko
? They are no longer making these? You might want to contact Fred's Offroad and see if they intend to follow through on the patent.

This is MUCH less permanent than "building drawers"! And if you have a need to use the 3rd row seats once in a while, then "drawers" won't work.
Lastly, this is going to be cheaper than just the sliding tray for the fridge!!!!

Fred's Offroad wasn't the licensed supplier, they were a distributor who purchased/stocked a few of these from a few years back.
I am dealing directly with the original manufacturer - Beyond Cargo. And I am trying to tap into the remaining stock that is at the manufacturer. I am not, at this point, dealing with Fred's Offroad.

That's the Fred's Offroad price, a member asked for the "ballpark", and I posted the "max price".
And of course, I am trying to get a good discount for us, as always.
I just need some level of "interest shown", "initial commitment", then I can go and work out a deal; like all the other GBs that I am running.

I'm interested; what time frame are you looking at? Would love to have it by the time the GDE takes place (Right after Overland Expo West 14-17 May)
Also, how is this mounted/secured? Thank you.

Once I can secure inventory, we will open the group buy (should be soon, next few weeks).
Securing the unit make use of the factory anchor points and straps that came with slider.
Which truck do you have?
