Treeline Outdoors Roof Top Tent Group Buy anyone?
We got our discount so now we're looking for buyers!
If we hit 5 tents, we're looking at a 15% discount! Send me your info if you're interested and I'll put you on the list!
Hello all,
I'm looking to purchase a rooftop tent from Treeline Outdoors, and they said that they might be interested in getting a group buy together if I could find some other buyers. Treeline tents check all of my boxes for sturdiness, size, weight, and design. Check out their full lineup here: https://treelineoutdoors.com.
Let me know asap if any of you are interested. I'm looking to place the order this month if possible.

I just picked one up from TuffStuff, locally here in SoCal (they do discounts if you pay cash). I'd check them out. Im very happy with the value/quality (came with the annex). A lot of these tents are manufactured by the same foreign company & have varying degrees of markup from retailers. I'd check the specs of what your want across the multiple retailer companies and go from there.

Thanks for the input. I've done the shopping around and will be purchasing from Treeline. I just thought I could help some other interested parties out with a discount if everything came together.

Where are these tents made, China? I think most tents are coming out of a few factories in China. A quick search and you can find tents delivered to a Chinese port for 4-600 dollars, ordered in a quantity of 5-10 units. Shipping to the US would up the price.

Their tents look very nice. Do you know what the additional import taxes and stuff would be at the border? Its definitely something to consider.

I don't. Their customer service has been very good so far, so I'll send over the inquiry and see what they say. Can I put you on a potentially interested list?

Yeah I'm potentially interested if the discount is worth it.

What sort of discount would be acceptable? Feel free to pm me if you don't want to post it here. I've seen "$100 off (hitents.com)", "free shipping", "10% off", and "20% off" before. this is the list that I'm going to give them, but I wanted to get other people's opinions on what would be a good group buy discount.

I normally have a rule of jumping onto group buys only when they reach 15% or more in savings. Honestly I dont see that happening with the tent unless we can get about 10 people signed up.

I'm currently RTT shopping. I've had my sights set on a CVT Denali as I need room for four and they (CVT) are only 120 miles from me.
It looks like the Redwood is close and msrp comes in a little cheaper.
Have you seen these in person and have you seen a CVT? I've read lots of good about CVT but we both know these most likely come from the same or similar China plant...
Curious about the discount. I'm sure the other poster is right though...10 tents to get a discount....
