Note: Depending on the switch plate you use to hold the 6 switches, it will fit in the large cubby of the 2014+ 4Runners with no modification to the cubby itself. You may need to do some minor dremel work on the switch bank itself. The dimensions of the 2010-2013 cubby (the one with a door) are too small and will require extensive dremel work. I used double sided tape and it has held up well. You will need to drill a 1/2" hole in the back to run the wires through.

Is it necessary to remove the cubby to drill the hole or can I just drill it without uninstalling the cubby?

You can drill w/o removing the cubby, but it may be tricky to fish the wires through. You may also have trouble fitting your drill body into the cubby hole depending how long your drill bit is. I had to remove mine anyway to swap the cubby to a 2014+. Once out, I drilled from the backside and it was easy to route the wires from the driver's side gourmet. It's not that hard to remove the plastic trim, though I had to pucker up my first time. I am impressed how Toyota made the clips to be reusable. Check my post on page 2 for the link to removing the center console.

What are you all using your switches for? Here is my plan:

Switch 1: Roof Lightbar White Spot
Switch 2: Roof Lightbar Yellow Floods (I have a dual mode light bar)
Switch 3: Front Bumper Lightbar
Switch 4: Rear Work Lights
Switch 5: ARB Fridge
Switch 6: ARB Compressor

I dedicated 1 30A circuit for running interior accessories like a CB, dashcam, and extra USB charging port using a 6-way mini fuse box.

I also used 1 for my front camera

Amazon for $16. Looks like the original seller no longer had them available. Its called "Vehicle Front View Camera for Toyota Prado Highlander Land Cruiser". There is another seller on Amazon that has them for $21.

More info on the install HERE. Also installs in the newer models without the receded emblem.

Got my SPOD installed this weekend

Anyone else have a slight gap in the bottom of the SPOD like this:

It's like the bottom warps a little and creates a gap. There is a seal of some sort but it just looks inconsistent

Spods look like a great deal. Mind if I ask why a switch for the fridge?
