Well the time has come and we are ready to start the group buy for the grill discussed in this feeler thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-ge...er-thread.html. Please reserve comments and questions to that thread.



This thread will be strictly for the group buy info only.

As discussed the group buy pricing will be $150 plus shipping for the blank matte black cover.

Some info about the grill cover:

-Made in the U.S.A.

-Thermoformed Matte Black Plastic (no painting required)

-No toyota branding

Group buy will run through January 31, 2018 and shipping will begin approximately 4 weeks after we reach 50 participants.

Also note the letters for the grill will not be an option until the minimum buyers is met. After 50 buyers is met letters will be added and will definitely happen. Final Pricing has not been determined, but target pricing is to keep them under $30. But will ship free with the order of the cover. They will be made from cast polyurethane matte silver/gray. They will be more of a diy, and come with a template to attach letters and double sided tape you will have to attach.

I wanted to update everyone, as I sent out messages to everybody to get an status update of where they stood with the group buy. Some of feedback I got made me think there is some misconceptions of how things are going to be. First the letters WILL HAPPEN. There has been a lot of time and money put into this on my end, and I will not spend more time or money until there are more committed buyers. Second the mold for the cover piece is going to be based off of the factory grill cover. So, it will be almost the exact dimensions as the factory piece. Will there be differences? Yes, but they will be so slight most will not even be able to see a difference. If there are anymore questions or concerns place feel free to PM me I usally pretty fast at responding.

Yes the letters are sold out for right now. The demand for the letters was more then what I was expecting. So, once I get caught up on the letters that have sold then they will get put back up. Currently looking in other option for the future. They maybe 3d printed or injection molded.


For anyone reading this that has ordered letters. Yes your letters are going to get made on time. Already have a lot of them made. But I need to allocate time for packaging, final assembly of the covers, and any other final details. I want to make sure everyone gets there covers sooner then later.

Letters are now up on the site. If you are considering the alternate letters please hold off on ordering and pm me and let me know what style letters you are interested and what you want them to say. At this point anything beyond just saying toyota is going to be 3d printed and will cost a bit more. No final pricing on the custom letters.

As for the standard letters. Final pricing came to $35 for the 6 letters. They are going to grey metallic to try to match the paint of the stock letters. There are new product options on the website. One is for just the letters and the other is for the cover and the letters. If you have already ordered the cover then go with the letter only option. Be sure to select local pickup so you don't get charged shipping.PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ADD YOU USERNAME AND PREVIOUS ORDER NUMBER TO THE ORDER NOTES..
