For obvious reasons.
especially by vendors that are not on the forums and organized by people like

I'm relatively new to the forums and have participated in several group buys and just assumed it was always in cooperation with the vendors. Oh well...I guess I'll have to spend more time on tacomaworld.

I received an email asking me to not post any group buys until they get answers. I was also told "in order to post group buys or items for sale, you have to have an Official Vendor status on your account". I pointed out that RCI had an Official Vendor status as of Friday, and have not heard back on that. I was also told that they had reached out to RCI, and said "we are in contact with RCI at the moment". RCI never heard from them or anything about this issue until I emailed them this morning. At that point they promptly sent an email, and as far as I know have not received a response yet.
I also pointed out 14 threads that violate this unwritten rule of needing to be an "Official Vendor", and all of which are still running. At this point it really looks like I'm being singled out from everyone else on the forum, and being held to a higher standard than the rest. I'm was going to become an "Official Vendor" today for my own company. But, have decided to hold off to see how they handle this situation, and all the other GB's that violate the forum rules. Rules are rules, and should be enforced equally rather than singling out certain members.

Mike, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by publishing our conversations on the public forum. There is a lot of misinformation and confusion it seems.
The short of it is, if you are organizing a non-for-profit group buy, go for it. But if you're making a profit out of it, you need to be an Official Vendor. This is mainly to prevent the forum from becoming one big billboard, and to be fair to other sponsors.
The confusion part is, you say "I'm NOT an employee of RCI" in one email, and in another say that you are part RCI". So not sure which is it.
Let's continue this conversation over PM/email.
We are currently reviewing other group buys.

Man it looks like a ton of GB’s have been deleted. Even the carbon fiber tissue holder!! They could’ve at least locked that, no need to delete. It was quite entertaining and lots of people were getting in to it. If admin is having to delete so many GB’s that the masses were happy with, maybe the problem isn’t the GB? 🤔

Do you have to pay to be an "Official Vendor"?

We have experienced a lot of push back in the past from at least 1 member who likes to complain about Group Buys.
We are an Official Vendor and had several of our GB Threads Deleted, or Moved, without contact from Admins.
Hence, why you have not seen us share any Group Buys on T4R recently.
We do try and give back to the community as much as we can, and that will not stop.

You’ve never had a group buy, you just made new threads for every item you currently had a 5% discount on.

Lol...this exactly!! Several "vendors" on this forum just spam the forum with the same "deals" time and time again. These "deals" are the same that can be found all over the net. In the end, they contribute nothing to the quality of these forums.

I had a lot of group buys up and running as well and every one of them was deleted without being contacted before/after.
Please reach out to me at your earliest convenience so we can discuss as well.
