Took about 2-3 hours. Biggest challenge was getting the RCA through the firewall. It didn’t help that I already had two existing sets of wiring harnesses through the firewall for my light bars so I didn’t have enough space to feed it through. I had to cut a slit in the rubber grommet (the one where the bigger factory harness and hood release cable goes through). Once I did that, it was pretty easy to get it through with a coat hanger. Sorry don’t have pics of it.

Well spent 3 hours installing.

Used crimp/heat shrink connections for everything, followed the instructions to a t.

Turned on truck, flipped the switch, black screen ... Put it in reverse ... Same thing ...

Disconnected all harnesses and reinstalled factory ... camera worked in reverse.

This is on a 2019 TRD OR. Not sure what's going on.

I skipped installing the front camera, but everything is hooked up (ran rca wires under the dash with the red wire covered in heat srink). Not sure if that has something to do with it, but doubt it.

Any help is appreciated (emailed anytimebackup).

Check your grounds. I grounded mine on a dash bracket bolt inside and under the hood I put it with the rest on bussbar for my switchpros setup.

Appreciate the advice. They are on grounded mounts but I will go recheck (maybe crimp new lugs).

Brian has been very responsive and he is helping troubleshoot everything.

So far, I have stock reverse activated camera functionality and switch activated reverse camera. Next step is getting the front camera/harness functioning.

Anyone else having the issue of both lights on the switch lighting up when you switch it to front camera?

When switch is clicked to rear, only the rear light is illuminated. Which I'm assuming is the correct way.

I've seen a few install videos, and their switch lights up the same way.

Other than that, no issues.

My order came in yesterday.

I've added it to my collection of things I need to install to include a Sprint Booster, dash dimmer doohickey, and differential breather kit.

That’s exactly what it is. Just got my kit yesterday.
It’s nice that we have the option to turn it on and off, but I have been trying to figure out a time when I would need to turn it off....?
Wondering if it’s possible to bypass the switch all together and just have it constant.
As simple as connecting the red and black together on the white wire...?
Maybe someone can chime in.

So I asked this before ordering.

It's advised to leave it turned off so the GPS can update more efficiently. Only switch when needed.

Update, worked through troubleshooting.

Brian sent out a new a relay harness (awaiting its arrival). There was a bad RCA connection unfortunately.

I can take apart my dash in about 2 mins now tho so there's that! And I have a much better concept of the circuit that makes everything work lol.

Can't wait to get the front hooked up.

This is the response I received:

"It can be left on all the time but we advise using a switch because when overridden your gps position on the map will not smoothly update so that is why we recommend the switch."

Hope this helps.

The Update refers to your location. It can't update your location.

If the override is left on, your location is less accurate and the on screen position starts to drift.
