Feel the need to relay along my frustrations,
The battery transaction went great, arrived in a timely manner and worked flawlessly for the first few months. Began to notice the battery was no longer holding a charge, took it to the local Oreilleys and it tested as "bad battery". This was after just a few months of light use. Crossing my fingers this was simply a fluke, I really had (and still have) faith in the Northstar brand.
I reached out to Samoorian Supply over a week ago and have yet to hear back, simply asking if they can assist with the warranty process. Seems as though they might be out of business? Atleast google says so. I've also called Northstar 4 times in the past week to discuss the warranty process with them. The operator always picks up and transfers to Customer service. Not once has customer service picked up the phone. Left a message last week and have yet to hear back. Today I requested to be transferred to someone else that could help. They said the Warranty Dept was not available, so I was transferred to the West Coast sales rep. Shockingly, they didn't answer either.
I have zero frustration with the Northstar battery itself. A bad battery is always a possibility, that's why warranties exist. I was thrilled to rep a company who manufactures in good 'ol 'murica and still will if I can get this sorted out.
Ill update if/when I hear more.

I basically have the same issue going on. Bought a battery(31m) through one of these group buys a little over a year ago and it started not holding charge. Called Northstar which was fun initially, they directed me to Samoorian Supply which I initiated a text conversation on 8/28 and on 9/17 he basically told me to buy a new battery due to having issues getting a replacement from Northstar. I had to have one by that coming weekend due to going camping, so I ended up shelling out another $400 on a battery locally, came back from camping and tried to reinitiate a conversation with 0 response. For reference a run a voltage booster also and have since the day I bought the battery.
So, I appreciate the GB's being done, but I would recommend going to your local batteries plus store and buying the X2Power version of these batteries with the 10% discount so if you have issues you can just return it locally.

Took the battery to a local Northstar dealer to see if they could somehow assist in contacting Northstar and help process the warranty. His response was basically along the lines of "yep, that sounds about right for Northstar". He measured the battery again and found it at 8.6V. He said at that voltage, Northstar wouldnt even consider the warranty as it had been "drained".
When I had it charged and tested last at Oreilleys, it was around 10.6V. It sat for about 2 weeks as I attempted to call Northstar many, many times, but never once was it on concrete, metal, or anything else that would have caused the drain. I had it stored in my garage on an insulated base, then kept it in the back of my car for a day or two until I could make it to the shop.
The shop said they would attempt another charge with their equipment, Ill be back tomorrow.

Yea, Samoorian Supply told me the same thing on the voltage as it's one of the first questions he asked before he went radio silent. Supposedly the higher end Noco and Ctek chargers can possibly bring a battery back, but I haven't bought one to test on my battery to verify. I plan on getting a high end charger to run on mine once a month to top it off, and I just bumped my voltage booster to max boost so I run at roughly 14.7 volts none stop.
My Ancel battery monitor arrived today that I am installing this weekend also.

Final update, (and it’s good news)!
Emailed Northstar customer service after visiting Battery Solutions and they replied the next day by forwarding my email to Mike @Samoorian. He replied immediately and asked why I hadn’t tried to reach out to him directly. Wishing to get a new battery, I politely told him I had multiple times and that there was no number readily available for his shop. He said “what’s going on”, I replied with, “battery is having issues, history, blah, blah, blah) A few days go by with no reply so I email him for an update. He asks for the battery information again and then goes radio silent (again) As I was driving home day I realized I needed to call or email again as I hadn’t heard anything from him. I got home and low and behold, a 60lb box is sitting at my doorstep. I have a new battery!
Northstar was great, I get they are a small company that caters to large industrial applications so their customer service for us small guys may not be a primary focus. Email was the best way to contact them, don’t bother calling. Batter Solutions here in Long Beach was great too, they were super helpful even when I hadn’t given them a dime out of my pocket. The moral of the story here is I would advise against using Samoorian for this deal again, see if Northstar will use another vendor. The only time he was remotely prompt in his responses is when Northstar had eyes on it. I don’t know his story over there, but I’d think another vendor could make the process a bit smoother on all accounts.
Case closed, I have a new battery, and I’m happy. Now to dive into a bad transmission...

Actually, EnerSys, which owns Odyssey and Northstar now, is a publicly traded company with 9,000 employees.
I had questions about running Odyssey on my vehicle and their email responses were quick and extremely helpful. So I am getting a 24F Odyssey and not going to worry about charging.
I have emailed many auto-related corporations with questions, this was one of the best and fastest responses.

Well, your story ended better than mine, I just finally gave up and deleted my text message chain I had with him not responding. I wouldn't recommend anyone wanting a fast turnaround on a bad battery participating in these group buys, and the X2 Power branded version of this battery is the same cost locally for most people with the normal monthly discounts they provide.

I just reached out to [email protected] for a warranty replacement because AAA said that per their test my battery needs replacement. I hope he responds because this thing has a 4 yr warranty and I just got it mid 2019. I'll keep you guys updated
Also called him at 417-838-0736

No, a new one showed up at my doorstep. The guys at Battery Solutions were kind enough to take care of the recycling and I called it a day. I think as long as you have adequate information to warrant the inks one you’re fine.
