Just be aware if you buy from this distributor he uses you are pretty much screwed from a support perspective. My battery went dead in less than a year and after almost 2 months of trying to get it replaced I just chalked it up to a lose and went and bought another battery locally. My Northstar from this previous GB is sitting in my garage currently.

So I emailed [email protected] and [email protected] back in Dec 28th 2020.
He responded via email asking for the same info: Serial number and the address to send it to. I provided the info probably 3x with pics just to make sure he's good.
After this he never responded to my other email attempts for status updates.

So I found his number online: 417-838-0736 and called him to confirm its him. This was around Dec 30th too.

I sent him a text January 13th since I haven't received any updates and he responded via text saying "I submitted it and waiting on Northstar at this point."

I responded ok ty just let me know when it's shipped.
Couple weeks later still no text and no battery.
Hoping to just get a replacement arrive at my doorstep sometime February. I'll update here if I ever get it.
I'm working from home so traveling is not a need but I would like to get the support we deserve for such an expensive battery.

To be honest, another problem I have with this entire thing is the fact it's been discussed that there is an issue with this supplier and @ramonortiz55 has never once addressed the issue in any sort of way.

I basically went and bought the alternate branded version of this battery, X2Power, and my local batteries plus and with a discount code I found it was pretty much the same price as the one I bought here, except I can just return it locally for warranty issues that will actually be honored.

Update: my replacement battery arrived in my doorstep the other day. No issues with it (used a battery tester that measures state of charge/health and voltage etc.)

However I didn't hear any followup email/text/call from Mike. Tbf I rather have the warranty replacement arrive than have to keep bugging him

Was this the replacement from Mike? or did you end up going thru Northstar in the end?

I only contacted Mike. I believe he contacted Northstar for me and had to wait since they didn't have them readily available.

My 65M from GB 6.0 has bit the big one it's can't hold a charge for more than a day.........just shy of the 3 year warranty.

It's funny because my 31M from 2 years earlier than that is still running strong...although it could be time to replace it soon.

I have emailed Mike this morning at both of his email addresses to start the replacement process.

Ramon, is there a contact at Northstar that I/we should be using for warranty replacements?

Quick Update

After my initial email, Mike responded pretty quickly and asked what the resting voltage of the battery was and if I tried to charge it (?? like duh)

I responded immediately with the answers of 11.1v and of course I tried to charge it.

I received no other responses from him.
One week later I asked for an update - no response.
Getting ready to shoot off another email asking for an update shortly..

Well since this post....complete radio silence. I've only emailed the guy two, maybe 3 times, to get an update. I'm not even naging at the pace of 1 email per week at this point.

Nothing, no response of any kind.

So unless like others have mentioned, the replacement just shows up out of the blue without warning, I got screwed. (ok, this might be exaggerated a little)

I guess only time will tell.

Still not giving up

I found the online warranty submission on the northstar site.

I have submitted a claim and we will see what happens with Northstar directly.

Dropping almost $300 and not getting to the end of the warranty period isn't the end of the world. Painful, yes. but the battery lasted 30 months. It died quick at that point. I might as well see if I can get it replaced one way or the other.

Note to self, next time, pay via credit card with purchase protection.......
