Hey J Rod, I am from Lincoln, but haven't been on the forums a lot because I had some issues accessing it from my workplace (tech rep) for a while and when I get home the last thing I want to do is be on the computer heh. Anyways welcome to the forum!

Hi Neighbors,
I live in Lincoln and just purchased my first 4Runner in October. Looks like a few people are interested in meeting up, as am I. Only problem for me is that I'm not aware of any good spots locally to make a day trip or single night trip without too much driving.
Is anybody aware of any good trails or off roading spots in Nebraska?
For some reason I think there are some areas around the Platte river, but I've never been to them. If anybody knows of areas we could go, I would volunteer to coordinate a get together.

We just had a Toyota meet in Bellevue a couple weekends ago. Had a good turnout, around 16 or so people. Went wheeling at a buddies place afterwards in Glenwood, Iowa. I am actually heading to Tuttle Creek in KS this Sunday for a single day trip of wheeling if anyone would like to join in.

Hey guys, I am new to Lincoln and it has been raining a lot so I know the dirt roads can get pretty muddy and fun, anybody around this weekend or next that just wants to go out and drive and check out some local spots?

Hey all! I'm from Omaha, new to the site and just picked up my first T4R in June. Running stock still, but its been Colorado & Montana tested already. Anyone else looking to run some trails (not that I know of any yet)?

Hey man, welcome! There are few of us here from Omaha, if you ever want to meet up for show and tell, let me know! It's always nice to see local people on here. What year is the vehicle? I picked mine up last February and am absolutely loving it; this forum has helped me out so much!

Thanks for the warm welcome. It's nice to have this place where we are all 4Runner crazy, friends just don't understand. I just got a 2014 Black SR5 in June.
Let me know if ya need a hand building!
Anyone know of Minimum maintenance roads or looked into public lands/wildlife management areas to drive around?

Thanks, I just might take you up on that offer if I end up getting by Shrockworks rear bumper, I hear it's a beast and a two man job!
As for the trails, the closest I was able to find in NE is the Nebraska National Forest at Halsey, NE. It's about a 4.5 hour drive from Omaha. I haven't been there but I found some chatter about it on Jeep forum from a while back:

I'd be up for a trip to Halsey. There's a couple other threads I've seen mention it, but nothing too specific.

Yesterday we crossed the river and went over to Iowa to go down the Loess Hills Scenic Byway. It was an easy drive and had a few really nice views along the way.

My wife's 2018 and my 2008. We parked it next to a stock Sequoia. Wish TRD still had the supercharger available. V6 doesn't feel as smooth as the V8. Going to have a locker installed in the spring. Hoping to do an Icon Stage 7 kit for the 08 or the King setup. Would like to add a shrockwork front bumper and cbi rear bumper as well.
