I LOVE them. They make a bit of noise on the highway but are very smooth. I honestly don't know about fuel mileage, it's not something I keep track of. I do know that the wheels and tires only added like 20-30lbs over the factory combo, the rims are very light.

I average about 16mpg around town and just checked the average since the trip, and it's at 18.2. I just have a short drive through town to get to work (3.4miles), otherwise I don't drive it much. I also have a Jeep Wrangler I drive a lot in the summer. The GX will more than likely sit this winter out as well, I've been thinking of changing some things up and lifting it. I think I got about 16.5mpg with the stock wheels and tires on it.
I'll go out and reset the mpg thing and shoot me a message at the end of the week and remind me about it. I generally only put gas in it once every other month or so.

May be a while before I get back to you on the mileage, my rear suspension compressor went out today. I ordered the metal tech coil conversion and some FJ springs.

How funny I just did this swap this weekend. Not because I had an issue, but rather because I didn't want to have an issue at an inopportune time. I put some icon shocks in the back, and they are nice, but a little soft. I'm getting some air bags for inside the coils to help stiffen up the rear. One thing I noticed is the rear squats a lot more under acceleration and a little more body roll in corners. I think it has to the with the taller and heavier body on the GX.

Interesting. How is the height? I read a thread where they gave a 4th gen 4Runner about an inch of lift, so I'm hoping it keeps the truck somewhat level. Maybe I'll get airbags before I install them. I'm leaving my factory shocks there for now, I'll let you know my opinion when I get it all thrown in. How long did it take you?

I already had a little lift... I had dropped the air bag height sensors tricking them into thinking the truck sat lower than it really did, thus telling the computer to add more air and that lifted the rear about 1.5-2". I just have a spacer lift for now. I'm waiting on the OME BP-51 set up to be released for the 120 chassis and then I'm going with that. All said it was about 6 or so hours... But that with me having a bad back(lots of pain meds and muscle relaxers) moving very slowly, plus dealing with some rust issues -my GX spent its first years of life in New Jersey. Anyhow yeah if I was just doing bags to springs I probably could do it in a couple of hours. A big pain in the ass for me was the icon shocks, their rubber grommets or bushings at the top are super thick an it was a royal pita to install.
One trick I'd suggest is to unbolt all the brake line hangers from the rear axle and undo all the clips for the abs sensors, as well as the sway bar so you can get the rear axle to drop down further and it will be easier to get the new springs in. I was able to get the air bags out fine without doing that's, but no way was I getting my springs with spacers in -on second thought if not lifting then you might be able to.

Cool, thanks! I'm sure I'll have some issues with rusty parts as well.

That hard part will be the shocks. Start soaking bolts with oil or lube. I had been soaking all the bolts for almost two months on a weekly basis, and I got all but two of them, thankfully one was on the old shocks and the other was one of the brake line clips. The shock I just cut with a sawzal, and the other bolt I used a pair of vice grips to get it out(and replaced it with a bolt from the thousands of sapre OE Toyota fasteners I have). I found it was easiest to undo the air lines at the controller back by the compressor and keep them attached to the bag, removing all in one piece. If you have questions feel free to ask or pm me

Mine went a bit easier than yours I think, but I didn't really follow the directions. I removed my swaybar links, and then pulled the LOWER shock bolts out instead of the uppers. I also disconnected the brake line bracket that's near the center of the 3rd member on the back side. That's it. Used two spin jacks and lowered the axle down and popped the springs right in. Went really well. I posted some pics @ club Lexus. Gave me more lift with the FJ springs than I thought it would, but I like it.
