Thank you for sharing this. As someone who is considering a GX, This helps a lot!

is 14.6 "hand calculated" vs. indicator display?

also a question for you owners: when I go through fuelly.com's list of GX 470's, it seems pretty clear that the late models were reporting a tad higher mileage than earlier ones. Did the mapping get better for, say, 07 to 09? or maybe the luck of the draw most of the reportees may be just grabbing groceries and running quiet low-stress tires...

Im right around the 15-16 mark depending on speed and wind. I am lifted 3" with 285s and a boxy roof rack. The roof rack is a real killer.

Mpg

With a 3”, 285/70r17 KO2, and my tent, plus all the weight I carry, I am averaging 12.4. Driving style matters. On longer hauls, I try to “draft” behind higher profile vehicles (18 wheelers) does anyone else find that a lot of truck drivers do not take kindly to this? I had one guy swerve off the road to get me off his ass. You would think I was a mig in top gun. Guy lost his shit.
