Differences between 2013 and 2014 GX?

I'm looking at GXs. I much prefer the pre-2014 body style and am looking primarily at 2013 year models for that reason.

Question is - other than the front end, what differences exist between the 2013 and 2014?

I'm especially interested in the technology aspects - was the infotainment system changed after 2013 to offer more functionality? This is something I want to get right since, unlike my 4th gen 4runner, I don't have the option of swapping out the GX's head unit for something with better functionality.

I frequently use Android Auto in my T4R, so I am curious on feedback relating to how well the 2013 GX's infotainment system works over USB for listening to music. Does it support apps like Google Play Music and Audible?

Having just bought a 2013, I can tell you the Navigation unit is pretty old school, and the bluetooth kinda sucks. I ended up buying an AUX cable to play music.

Otherwise, the V8 is butter once warmed up.

Thanks for the honest feedback. The finicky tech might be a deal breaker for me. I have a very good setup with Android Auto in my V8 4th Gen, and stepping 'down' to uncooperative and limited Bluetooth capability is probably more than I'm willing to pay for.

I’m looking at a burgundy 08 gx470 with a small radiator leak and clear wear on the driver seat with 140k miles and 2 owners for 14200$ out the door from a dealership.https://19216811.cam/ https://xender.vip/ https://testmyspeed.onl/

Just picked up.....

a 2013 Gx with 62K this past weekend..... OK we bought it but have yet to pick up as it was just traded in. So they are cleaning it out and check out the fluid and all.

When test driving and shopping, the main difference that my wife really wanted was the lines on the back up camera. the 2013 does not have lines but the 2014 and newer does. I told my wife I can swap out the camera and put one with lines on there. I think ALL info centers will be obsolete at some point so I didn't really feel the need to pay more just to keep up for the time being. If we get to 200k miles and it becomes mine (after my wife is done with it) after I drive the crap out of my 08 4runner, I'll update the head unit with whatevers the latest, greatest at that time.

I wish I can tell you more about the info center but once we take delivery this week I would know more.

Didn't know if you know by MyLexus.com can provide tons of information on what service was done on any lexus as long as you know the vin#. granted the information on the site only has service performed in Lexus dealerships.

Aside from the facelift, when I was shopping for my GX I remember the infotainment being the biggest difference between the 13 and 14’s. The 14 and up appeared to have a more updated appearance to the navigation display.
