Yeah I got off it a month or so ago myself, but I've definitely been missing the Toyota/Lexus communities there. This forum used to be a lot more active in years past, and still has tons of useful/helpful/cool stuff, but the Facebook groups are just so much more active now. Especially the GX page. I'm kind of bummed about it because that's really all I used Facebook for was the 4runner pages, the GX group and the classifieds, but oh well. Didn't want to keep supporting the company.

Speaking my language. And it truly is too bad because I know I’m missing out on a ton of group sharing and things over there. Either way, thanks for all of the info and sharing! I’m still hunting for the right vehicle. Luckily I’m in no rush so I can play the long game and make sure I get what I’m looking for.

Knowing my love for off roading, the wait won’t be long but it’s a luxury I have at the moment.

So many great ideas from these pics!

Ha yeah I'm not sure if people are actually paying that, at least not here in Utah! Miramar auto out in California definitely sells a lot of 470's for that much and more

Buy and drive? Sounds like buy it someplace else, and drive it home. Maybe pay for your vacation. Oh wait, will Kalifornia let you bring a vehicle?

If you can find a true AZ vehicle, you can get one with zero rust.

I can undo any bolt on our 2008 Tribeca with 160,000 miles with no issues whatsoever.

My Utah friend bought his 470 from here. That was before prices exploded though.

IH8MUD forums recently reorganized and broke out separate GX470 and GX460 sections from the rest of the 120/150 series platforms, which have decent traffic, and senior members that cross post the big breakthroughs and resources so it's really pretty decent. Next best thing to FB's GXOR that I've found so far.

Yeah I've noticed some more recent posts on there the last few weeks. Don't think I'm signed up on Mud but I'll have to do it now!

Thanks! I’ve been checking in there and reading up. I haven’t posted yet but it seems like a good community with a lot of info.

I put a deposit on a 460 yesterday but I’m asking for it back today. Thing was tooooo clean, if that’s possible. Black exterior (gonna catch trail scratches) and cream interior. The cream will get destroyed with a 2 and 4 year old, as well as my plans for this truck being used as a truck. Too bad though. Great record. Great price...and at $15,750 it’s cheaper than most 470s!!!

ClubLexus forums are pretty decent for general vehicle stuff as well, less modification/offroad oriented though.

Thanks! I’ve come across a few things there. I agree. Seems like good info but likely not as aggressive at modifying. Maybe I’ve got the wrong feeling so far though.

Ya, Club Lexus forums are good for guys fixing their own stuff, but less guys into modding for offroad use, more than there used to be, but less than GXOR and IH8MUD.
