Speed sensor

Got a code on my 98 6 cyl. Auto. "vehicle speed sensor '2' circuit". There are two identical sensors on the transmission. Is the '2' circuit sensor the forward or rear sensor? This may be also called the "No. 2 vehicle speed sensor". Thanks for the help.

here you go.
Looks like it depends on which trans you got to.

the picture with nothing written on it is Sensor 1
the other two with "A340 E or F" written on them is your sensor 2

Hi I just bought an old 4runner 2005 Limited and the speedometer is not working, I learnt from some of the site that that VSS may cause an issue with the transmission shifting and increase fuel consumption.
Just want to confirm if the VSC sensor that is fixed on the 4 tyres and connected to the ABS system is the same with the speed sensor.
If not can anyone help with the location of the speed sensor and how to check the wiring.
Thanks in Advance
