While we're on the subject, anyone got a good source for a replacement rear wiper blade or refill on the 4th gen?

I replace my wiper refills about once a year, usually in the spring.

However, I only replace the actual blades when I'm having wiper problems that a refill won't fix (pretty much never).

I just replaced my wipers with the PIAA blades. Expensive, but supposed to last a lot longer.

I replace mine once a year (and they really need it by then, mainly because of chattering)

They go for about $2.75 for a refill at partznet, so it is pretty cheap to change them often.

I finally freed up the other side of my garage so I'm hoping things like this last longer now that they aren't subjected to the weather extremes as much.

Hmm. Interesting, because I switched to those Bosch blades two weeks ago and this morning discovered one has already had the rubber blade separate from the wiper itself.

Oops, I thought this was an oil change poll. I change my inserts every 10-15K miles. I change my oil every 4-5K miles.

let us know how long the PIAAs last. I replaced the inserts a few months ago at about 20K with the TOYOTA version and I thought about getting the PIAAs but at the time couldn't justify the cost.

Junk! Lasted about six months, I'll stay with OEM.

Unfortunately, I found these wipers failed to live up to their promises/hype. I even tried a second set but both sets failed to last more than 4-6 months and did not appear to perform much better than other wipers I tried.

PIAAs have been on my Runner for almost two years and surprisingly still are doing their job.

The previous owner installed them so I'm not sure of the cost of the PIAAs but I might consider them again.
