Checking front small door speaker - how to access?

My wife wrecked the door of the 4-runner last summer - don't ask-

The door was replaced, but they put all the old guts in the new door.
She has the speakers that are tiny and close to the mirror... well one of these stopped working.

I thought I would try the easy step first, and make sure they connected the speaker correct.

How hard is it to get to this speaker? Do I need to take the door off?

Check out this link: http://people.clarkson.edu/~calisec/...runner2003.htm

A lot of resources like these have been posted before. Do a quick search and you'll be suprised what you'll find

Dude, no major changes between the 03 and 04 :rolleye2:

And if you take the time to look through that link you'll see that the gentleman who put up the website did in fact change out his tweeter

Mine is up higher on a separate plastic panel. Doesn't look like it is even on the door portion..

But if the door is removed the same, then I should be ok.

I am just afraid of breaking any plastic on the door..

Thanks!

It may be aftermarket then. That picture shows the stock speaker locations. Good luck
