you probably haven't seen Matco's, Snap On's, SK's, to name a few. these would make griot's torque wrench cheap.

so mine's very very cheap.

In Canada

This goes without saying if you're Canadian. Next time you're at Canadian tire pick up a Mastercraft torque wrench. They do have a lifetime warranty and if you buy the "Maximum" line from mastercraft you don't even need the receipt.

I think I paid $60 for mine on sale and I see that they go for $100.

For US citizens out there, I think you can buy the stuff online at canadiantire.ca

In fact with all this talk about calibrating I think I'll ask them if they would calibrate it for free too and I'll get back to you with my answer. I do know that they have a no-questions asked policy similar to snap-on so I may be able to simply return the torque wrench for a new one if I think it's out of calibration.

Torque wrenches especially Click Type are not 100% dependable. Keep that in mind if you are using 150 ft/lbs max wrench on engine parts that only call for say 15 ft/lbs because it may and trust me will fail to click at low setting until you catch on to it. I use one click type Husky torque wrench (10-130 ft/lbs) for wheel lugs, suspension and brake work while for engine work I recently purchased AC Delco digital type (2-37 ft/lbs).

This is the one I bought not too long ago. It's digital and goes from 12.5 ft pounds to 250 ft pounds. As most said, sears has some killer deals on torque wrenches.

This. And they're all on a pretty good sale right now I believe. At least locally it's their big parking lot sale or whatever they call it.

Tekton has an assortment of reasonably priced torque wrenches as well. I’ve had good luck with my Tekton 3/8-drive click torque wrench. I verified it as accurate right out of the box. It’s my keep-in-the-4Runner torque wrench.

My vote, get the Husky branded one at Home Depot for $69. MUCH better build quality and a life time warranty to match. Compared to the 90 day warranty for the Sears specials. All Sears torque wrenches suck.
Do you know which exact size is best for rotation of tires. Thanks!
