Weathertech "All Weather" Mats. Do they fit?

I'm looking at the Weathertech "All Weather" sorta-custom floor mats, and I'm wondering if anyone can report how well they fit. More specifically, do the W3TN version fit well in a 3G (2001) 4Runner? I know the custom laser fit ones are better, but I just don't care for them and prefer something more like the All Weather mats. I do not however, like the cut-to-fit Autozone variety. I know the All Weathers are somewhere in between, and I just need to know if they're crap or if they fit pretty well.

Thanks,
Mark

I just bought an '02 4Runner at the end of January, and with intent to go for the Weathertech mats. I ran by Sam's Club with a buddy of mine who was on an errand (i'm not a member) and grabbed a $20 set front and rear just to handle the winter salt right away.

I'm all things anti-walmart / Walton family, but the things fit GREAT. I still plan on getting the Weathertech rears that have the middle coverage, but I may just hang on to the fronts.

Here's my .02 after trying several different options. I typically prefer OEM all-weather mats. I've been really happy with the offerings from BMW and VW that I have used in my two previous cars. In both cases, I could get a set of four OEM rubber mats for under $100 that fit perfectly and had the exact same fit as the stock carpets. In the case of the VW, it was a 13 year old car, and I could still get factory all weather mats. I have no idea why it is so hard to get this kind of mat for the 4Runner. If they would have been available, I would have gotten an OEM style all weather mat, but since they apparently don't exist, I was forced to look at other options.

Weathertech Custom Fit: These are probably okay, but I thought they were kind of slippery and I didn't like how they hung out over the door sill. Also, I didn't think the cargo liner fit very well. Plus, I got them for Christmas and they were black, which I didn't like in my tan interior. The color is not the mat's fault, but it was on more factor in my decision to send them back.

Weathertech All Weather: They make these sound like they're "sorta-custom" and the pictures I dug up for other applications (couldn't find any of the mats in an actual 3rd gen 4Runner) make them look like they're sculpted to fit various vehicles. However, the 4Runner mats are pretty much just big rectangles with the corner cut out at the top. They look pretty much like what you would find at Autozone. The packaging listed dozens of different applications that they're supposed to fit. When I put them in my truck, they were a couple inches too wide to lay flat. Total rubbish for this application, I thought. Took them out after about 10 seconds and sent them back, too.

Husky Custom fit: Finally, almost despairing of finding anything that I liked, I ordered a set of Husky custom fit liners. Turns out they're made about an hour away from where I live in Winfield Kansas, so that's cool. (This doesn't change the fact that I loath Kansas, but supporting local businesses is good, no matter where you are.) The Husky mats are great! The diamond tread makes them feel less slippy than the Weathertech Customs, and they are a little lower profile, which I like. The color matches the lighter shade plastic bits in my tan interior pretty well, too. I think the rear cargo liner fits better than the Weathertech did as well, and again, the diamond tread gives it a bit more grip. Overall, I'm pretty happy with them, and after trying three different types of mats, I think for a 3rd gen 4Runner, they are the best option.

cheers,

Mark

I bought the W-T mats for my 2000. they fit fine & keep the carpet clean. They look a bit utilitarian vs. carpet. Sort of function over form.

I've got them front to rear in my 2000 4Runner. They're great.

great fit

I just bought 2015 sr5 premium. The wienie back seat mats are a joke. So I dropped the cash and got the entire set. They fit like a glove. I have had the weathertech in my Honda ridgeline for years they have kept the floor perfectly clean. Here in W.Ma. the winters ruin the rugs, without good protection. Yes the weathertech are expensive but they fit right no sliding around and the 2nd. row is one piece covering the entire floor. Great investment in my 4runners future

I bought the WeatherTech custom fit for my 2005 limited and the rear mat would not fit flush with the center console and the cargo mat would not flatten out after a week. Returned them, got the Husky liners and have been super happy

Any chance you have a few pictures of the fit? I know they've been evolving over time, but I've seen a few vehicles were they fit great, and a few that are pretty sub-par.

Weathertech great fit

I know this is an old post but I need to get started somewhere!
Purchased a new 2018 TRD Off Road the 1st of May. I always go with Weathertech and they fit great in this new 4Runner as they did in my 2011 Tacoma.

Do yourself a favor and go with the Husky Liners.

Wife got me a full set for Xmas for our Gen5 and they fit perfect. I’ve had them in my last two trucks and swear by them, a friend dropped a full coffee on the passenger side floor board last year and not a drop hit the carpet Weathertech "All Weather" Mats. Do they fit?

Having used Weathertech and Husky liners, the Husky liners are far superior to the Weathertechs. Weathertech has great advertising, Husky has a better product.

Mine fit in my 2000 SR5 like a glove. Supposed to be lazer cut for accuracy. Going to dunes and through mud or even snow westhertechs get you covered. In my humble oppinion better than any competitor I dont see how the design could be improved..
