1994 3.0l engine missing/stuttering

I am having a problem with my 3.0L V6 (I have a 5 spd trans). When the engine is cold it stutters and hesitates. It also acts like it's running on 3 cyl. before full power returns when I step on the gas. The problem is more noticeable when I am in high gear or 4wd. When the engine warms up it's fine, unless it's real cold outside.

The engine acts like my 22RE did when there was moisture in the rotor cap. My thought is my coil is going bad and is not able to push the juice through the wires, but usually a coil has problems after it has reached operating temperatures. I'm hesitant to believe it's the coil because they are so bullet proof and the truck has 103k miles on it....

Any ideas?

Check your cold start injector. It might be clogged or not working.

I checked out the ignition system - ok. Turns out I needed a new fuel filter.

The truck still has a slight hesitation when I maintain a level of rpm cruising around town, after the engine has reached operating temp.
