How do you wash?

After 2 years of washing my 16 yr old runner at the Shell, I am about to take up car washing again with my new toy...umm truck

I have never had a car with the same paint and finish of my new truck, Shadow Mica. Any tips on how to get the best results of a hand washing and wax?

Of course I think it is going to rain this weekend.

Don't worry about the color in particular. The colored flecks are part of the paint and are sealed in under the clearcoat. The Shadow Mica is just as durable as any other color.

But I would add that it will behave a lot like black when it comes to small scratches - they'll be readily apparent. For that reason, I also quit going to the car wash when I got this new truck.
