head lights

My son's 92 low beams flickered for a while and when out. The high beams still work but no low beams. I can see one going out but not both at once. Any ideas? 25 below windchill out there to night - don't want to be messing with it to much. Would like to know where to start looking. Thanks,

That is a strange situation. On my last car, one of the low beams did the same thing, then went out, but it was only in one light. The high beam wroked for a little while, but then the bulb exploded in the housing and ruined the chrome finish in the headlight assembly. i ended up having to replace the whole thing. Does the '92 have a sealed beam headlight? It might be hard to tell, especially in such cold weather, but see if there is any moisture in the light. If there is, it shgould be replaced. I know it might be a pain, but what you might want to do is replace one of them anyway, just to see if the new one works correctly. At the least you will have back-up headlight. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

-25 wind chill.......that gives me the chills thinking about it.... One thing you might want to do is to try and find a parking garage, if you don't have a home garage.
