Great call on the emergency brake. Was able to trace back Toyota maintenance and see where rear pads/rotors were replaced but no mention of parking brake components. Unlike the 4Runner, I'm so used to having rear drum brakes that use the same shoes for the e-brake that I never thought about it.

PCV ✔️ Did that one when I cleaned the throttle bottle and did spark plugs.

You guys are great.

Just check for leaks. New axle shaft seals on the front diff never hurt along with new wheel seals. Jack her up and check for play in your wheels to see if your bearings are fine. I had a sleeper bearing go bad that didn't make any noise but I had half an inch or so of play in the wheel.

I didn't have any play when I had it up on stands a couple months ago. I was surprised because I expected at least one (Murphy's law) to jiggle, but nothing thus far.

I picked up Toyota seal 90311-47012 and Timken seal 710573. I'm only dealing with the front driver's side. Do these look correct? Am I missing any?

Thank you!

Yep! I would never have a check if I worked at an auto parts store.

Why are you changing the seals if they are not leaking? Unless I missed reading where you stated they are.

It's pretty much recommended if you're replacing/repairing the cv axle. If they don't get damaged during the removal, then it's peace of mind since you're right there.

I said it never hurts to change them. Never said it was a necessity unless they're already leaking

No worries. I'd just hate to pull the cv and do all that, put it back together and wish I had changed them.
