Transmission flush

Advice please.
I have a 2004 4Runner with 175,000 miles.
What do you think about a transmission flush?
Coolant flush?
Differential flush?
Other maintanance? (I have done regular oil and filter changes and a timing belt change at ~100,000.

Please read stickies on this forum. All your questions were answered hundreds of times. Search is also your friend. And, yes you need to change all of those fluids if it hasn't being done on record. Welcome to the forum.

Very common question. Read stickies and google is your friend. Basically with that amount of miles, do a low pressure flush on the transmission-google. Ok to flush the coolant and swap out the differential fluid. Just be careful with the transmission.

what do I think of those things? Yes, do them. Not very hard, just a little tedious in some cases but your truck will run well for a good long while.

If it has never been done, you do not want a high pressure flush that you get at dealerships. It will kill your transmission. If you start out with the high pressure flush say every 50k miles, it is ok. What you want is a low pressure flush, can be fairly involved so google.

Yes change out all the fluids.

I would consider doing the services recommended at 90K: coolant flush, transmission flush, oil change, new spark plugs and wires, and a new air filter.

This advise is good except for a high pressure transmission flush that all dealerships do. If you wait til 90k, there is a good chance you will dislodge varnish and cause all kinds of problems. High pressure needs to be done at about 40 to 50 k miles.

Low pressure flush can be done at any time.....
