CV Shaft outer seal/Dust Cover

FYI Only: when I replaced the front left wheel bearing of my 2012 I messed up the dust cover attached on the CV Shaft side that mates up with the inner wheel seal which is pressed into the spindle. After talking to multiple auto parts stores and 2 dealers all told me there is no part number and it comes attached on the CV axle so I would have to purchase a new axle. (My axle is 100% fine, mind you).

After a lot of frustration I call CVJ Axles since I have read they remain stock toyota axles. The lady on the phone had me hold and came back with Toyota part number90304-A0001 as what they use when they need a new seal. They were actually nice enough to give me the part number rather than selling me a new axle!

I called Toyota to be told the computer says it won't fit my vehicle, ordered one overnight anyway, and bam its is a direct match for the 4 runner.

So if you need this seal, use part number 90304-A0001. Its listed for pretty much all years of Tacoma, but not the 4runner.

Thank you very much!!! I have the same problem with my 4Runner 2005. I removed that seal thinking I can replace everything while doing bearing but could not find that part at all. Do you think your part number will fit 2005 T4R V8?
