OEM Toyota CV boot trouble...
Hey all,
I recently replaced my driver's CV with a CVJ reman'd. I decided to ante up and get the OEM Toyota plastic style boot on the outside instead of the neoprene one because I've had those before and they honestly don't last as long as I'd like.
When I threw it on I noticed the angle was looking a little rough since the spines were touching so I did what you're supposed to and I popped off the clamp, pulled the boot toward the center more and reclamped it. Usually not a big deal with the neoprene boots, but this plastic boot won't clamp easily at all since it's past the proper spot on the CV axle itself.
Any thoughts or advice? I'll probably head over to CVJ to see what they think since they're local, but just thought I'd see if you all have run into this...
