Hard to find parts
My '87 is in need of the little face plate for the fan and heat control panel, a new shifter boot, a cable for the passenger seat, dome light...........you know. ALl the little bits that are hard to find and worht thousands of dollars at the dealer. I'd love to hear the there is a site out there that can get a hold of odds and ends doo-dads like these.

Did you try E-bay?.sooner or later everything will come up on there.Or how about the junkyard/salvage yard?.

Long running 4runners
One of the reasons we all love Yota's is because we'll never get fed up and scrap them. When I had the new engine put in this one, my mech was having trouble getting used cooling tubes and such because "I can't find a single Toyota in the junk yard."
The e-bay idea could work, but I'm not real good at that. These are small items and the dealer may be able to help me without robbing me. I've seen things like the shifter boot but I don't kow if I would be getting the right one. There seem to be many to choose from.
It'll be fun to round this stuff up and it's for a good cause.

check out yota yard (www.yotayard.com) they only stock toyota trucks and 4runners. it's great. and if you're local to the denver area, you can just stop by and save on shipping. i picked up that face plate your talking about for $5 there.

face plate here on ebay its says is from an 84 but will fit 84-88...i'd keep an eye for those other parts on ebay
