How much did I save?

It has been a while since I paid for general maintenance. I am curious to know how much I saved working on my 2017 4Runner. I spent $317 in fluids and genuine Toyota parts, plus a little shipping. This was sorta like a 30k or 60k service.

What would these services cost, approximately, at a dealer?

Fluid in both diffs and transfer case, Redline, 5 at $21.29, 2 at 25.99

Washer Kit, $15

Oil, Castrol approx $45

Oil Filter, $4.39

Serp Belt $44.27

Toyota Coolant, 2 @$23

New Radiator Cap $13.71

Air Filter $18.40

Cabin Filter $17.63

Lubed all zerks

Honest mechanic versus “book rate” at a chain or corporate shop...I could imagine a corporate place charging 15 minutes on each of the small things, half an hour for the OC, belt maybe half an hour, but I’d imagine they’d screw you on all the diff fluids plus disposal and handling fees. You know, because it takes the tech lots of extra time to walk the used fluids to the disposal area and whatnot.

labor for the radiator cap will kill you! imagine how long the tech has to wait for the coolant to cool down enough to safely swap caps...

Here's a Lexus dealership price for some of that

In case anyone was wondering why they're called stealerships, both diff fluids were changed just a few thousand miles before this shakedown (and I had undercoating on which was untouched, they didn't even loosen either diff bolt), the coolant wasn't even at the "low" mark in overflow, rear pads were 5-6mm, etc. I stopped at an independent shop on the way home and got it inspected without doing a thing.

Gotta keep the lights on for the sales floor, I guess. $500 for a caliper?! Crazy
