Stuck oil filter canister

My son has a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport and his oil filter canister is stuck. Any suggestions on how to remove it besides using the proper filter canister removal tool and a breaker bar with a pipe extension?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Get it to operating temp and put a large pipe wrench on, as close to the mounting threads as posiible. Have a new oil filter housing on hand.
