Without realizing, I mistakenly installed the circplate upside down on to the drive side. It about half inch higher than the passenger side. I drove it for like few days hoping it was just settling issue. There was a hard right pull when I was driving as well. So I know I definitely need a re-alignment.

When I was fixing the circplate issue, I noticed the leak. It has seeped from in between the boot seam and of the metal piece that’s attached to the brake pad. No leak elsewhere such as the boot on the inner toe rod. I don’t think the leak is persistent. Boot has no sign of tear as far as I can tell. I wiped it off with q-tips as a normal towel would not reach and no additional grease was coming out. I have to keep monitoring but I haven’t seen continuous leakage after wiping the grease. The boot looks slightly compressed compared to the passenger side.

I did get a full re-alignment after I fixed the suspension issue. So far I don’t see other signs of of bad ball joint issue such as vibration, loose steering wheel or pulling. The outer tie rod also feels stiff or normal, not loose.

Should I replace the outer tie rod now or wait it out? If I replace, should I replace both outer tie rods? I don’t see any issues on the inner tie rod, can I get away without replacing those?

The boot is not torn so there should be some grease in there you should be fine for a while. You can always take it apart and add grease NLGI, GC-LB rated. Lack of grease may cause the boot to rip in the long run.

Okay. Thanks for responding. I figure I can just wait it out and continue monitoring. Once I start seeing an issue, then I'll respond by replacing it with a new one.
