Question T4R holds up with extreme wheel turning

I have a 1998 T4R. I need some advise on this problem. When I lturn the steering wheel to the extreme right or left while reversing or going forward the vehicle just holds up (like when the brakes is binding). When driving straight or with normal turning it drives smoothly. The front brakes are fine, the wheels are not rubbing on the sides.

I don't know what to check again. Has anyone experienced or could help with this problem???

sounds like my truck when I am in 4 wheel drive. I assume that is normal when in 4-wheel drive.

You are right. I checked and the 4 wheel was engaged. The light on the dash did not show this, maybe it is blown. I disengaged the 4 wheel and it works fine. Thanks very much for your advise. But, is it suppose to do this (that is, cannot fully turn steering once 4 wheel is engaged?)

Not really the CV boots, but the CV joints.
