Place to get my bumper fixed

Ok..I didn't know what section I should put this post so I am going to put it here. I got a huge scrape on my bumper from some non-driving dumbass. Where's the best place to get this fixed? I was thinking Maacos or the dealer.

I would not go to MAACO for any vehicle you value - fine for commuters to keep them from rusting. If it can't be rubbed out (ie is scratched thru the paint) then just find a reputable body shop. Most Toyota shops farm out their body work anyhow - they may tell you who they use.

your dealer will most likey have an on site painter. if he is any good (like me) they will most likey do the same job as a body shop for the same price.

I'm also in the same boat. I have a scratch on my front bumper and it is deep it, scraped the paint off showing the black part...though it is only a small part of the bumper, 2 body shops quoted 600-750 to fix my bumper. Saw a front bumper cover priced 158.83 at toyotadiscountparts.com, Im guessing its not yet painted. This seemed to be a better deal, I just don't know how reliable is this site. Anybody had experience buying at this site?

I am getting a new bumper for my 05 SE and that price quote is reasonable; however, I will go the route of buying the part and paying a shop to paint it- I have been quoted 250 for painting and mounting the bumper from a local custom car shop. I have ordered from toyotadiscountparts.com before and they are pretty quick. I always called to confirm the order so I would recommend that.

They told me that they would not ship the bumper, so I guess this option is not for me as I am too far from Indiana... how will you get your bumper???

That is bizarre! I wonder how they expect you to get it?? I was going to have mine shipped to the shop. Maybe I will use a different online vendor...
