OEM Wiper Inserts

I was replacing the wiper inserts today and the pansenger side replacement insert (part # B500) is about 1/4" longer than the original. I'm concerned about early failure since the reused metal support ribs in the blades are now shorter than the blade.

Has anyone else run into this?

Oh... and I'm guessing 5 1/2 years has to be a record for original blades

My match exactly. Check that number again, or you might have aftermarket arms.

My bet is the rubber just shrunk over the last 5 years. I'm lucky if I get much more than a year from inserts before they harden and streak or make a screatching noise.
