Unhappy 2 different brand Spark plugs from facory ?

I just changed the spark plugs on my 04 2wd and noticed that the even numbered cylinders had Denzo plugs and the odd ones had NKG plugs. This is the first time the plugs have been changed, so it came from the factory as such. Does anybody know of a reason for this ? Is there any better or different perfomance between the two spark plugs ?

Curious if anyone else has noticed this on their vehicles.

It's common and you probably have a V6.

Some speculate it's probably due to a contract with both brands and it's the only way to use both 50/50.

It's been talked about. There are pics posted showing the wear of both.

When I had the sparkplugs changed on my '05 4Runner's V6 engine, I noticed that there were three of each in my truck as well. The service writer at the stealer said that the factory does it that way intentionally.

With fuel being so expensive now, I suppose I don't miss my 4Runner as much as I thought I would. Seems as though my Sentra is getting more mileage on it, while my '08 Mustang GT only has 6,000 miles on it in seven months of driving.

But your Mustang gets roughly the same gas mileage as my 2007 4Runner.

What did you save?

I agree. I love my Runnah too much. Would like a more fuel efficient car, but given where I live, the weather, and where I want to move to out West, I will only have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle.

If something were to happen to my Runnah, I might buy a Subaru Outback or Forester. We have an Outback and that car is great - 32 on the highway and 26 or so in town......
