Car door hit my fender flare

I went to the store today and when I got home I noticed what looked to be bird droppings on my rear passenger side fender flare. I looked harder and tried to rub it off but it turned out to be white paint and two nail head sized chips--some a-hole pounded my fender with his door! :cursin:

Now I'm left with two chips about 2 inches apart with a white paint line running vertical between the two.
I got most of the white paint off, but the chips are still there. Unfortunately, they are deep and go into the plastic itself.

My question is, what is the best way to fix this? I am thinking of using rubbing compound to get rid of the white line and "filling in" the chips with a Toyota paint pen.

People piss me off......

Update:

I stripped the wax off around the area and got it as clean as possible. The white line came out okay with the rubbing compound. The two chips were filled in with 4 coats of the factory matched paint pen I bought from the dealership. A few weeks later, I finished it up with a proper cleaning, polishing and waxing.

Right now, it's hard to notice it unless you're looking for it.
