Cat. Converter in CA

I'm looking online for a new catalytic converter at some of the online shops. Every place I go says "not legal for sale in California". I know that this has to do with the CARB laws. The question is, Where can I get a catalytic converter?

Thanks.
Tony

You can try local muffler shops. When I did a search for a cat for my old car, some did not state "Not for CA." I would say call them and ask if those models would be suitable and street legal for CA.
