Fuel Injectors Replaced - Now Cylinder 1/5 >30% loss through Intake
All, looking for Support here , had fuel injectors changed on my 2013 4Runnner recently, Vehicle had 100,000km on the engine, my ECP just expired. After the fuel injectors had been changed , the dealer ran some additional tests and came back with the following.
SCANNED FOR CODES, FOUND CODE P219A – BANK # 1 A/F IMBALANCE.
PERFORMED COMPRESSION TEST, FOUND
BANK # 1:
CYLINDER # 1 – 164 PSI
CYLINDER # 3 – 178 PSI
CYLINDER # 5 – 165 PSI
BANK # 2
CYLINDER # 2 – 170 PSI
CYLINDER # 4 – 185 PSI
CYLINDER # 6 – 180 PSI
PERFORMED CYLINDER LEAK DOWN TEST ON BANK # 1, FOUND
CYLINDER # 1 – 33% LOSS THROUGH INTAKE
CYLINDER # 3 – 10% LOSS (WITHIN TOYOTA SPEC)
CYLINDER # 5 – 35% LOSS THROUGH INTAKE
ALL CYLINDERS IN BANK # 2 – 10% LOSS (WITHIN TOYOTA SPEC)
They then proceeded to tell me it was a 7700 dollar repair plus tax. Wanted to hear from the group sustained operation at the current loss rate through the intake and potential repair options?
