Rear window wiper doesn't work!

Hey all, so sometimes my rear window wiper (say that ten times fast) doesn't work... and other times it does... the weird thing though, it doesn't work in the rain... hmmmm .. any thoughts on this?

Thanks you anyone who helps

Roll the rear window down and then all the way up and hold in the up position for a couple of seconds. This resets your rear window which must be all the way up for the wiper to work.

I have the same problem on a 2000 SR5.

I replaced the wiper motor. NOTHING
I replaced the relay on the tailgate. NOTHING

My rear window will open by itself sometimes when I lift the tailgate. I think I have a short somwhere anyone see this before. I thought I would tag along on this thread and see if we can find a common solution.

BTW, I tried the window up and down, didnt work. PLEASE HELP winters in CNY are no fun without a wiper.

I had the same problem. It was fixed as soon as I rolled the rear window down and back up. Hope it works for you too.

Had to replace my battery and this was most likely the reason it stopped working. Read the post... and wiper is again working.
Thank you.

I'm having similar issues. My rear window is all of the way up,rear window reset tried, My rear wiper will do one complete wipe then just sit in place and do nothing, It won't wipe in the on or intermittent position. I have to turn it on and off several times just to get it back in the home position so the rear window will function. I've tried almost everything I've seen on here to fix this-new fuses, rear wiper motor, wiper switch on steering wheel and the reset battery trick. Looking for any ideas this one has me stumped.

If it gets frustrating enough, it might be better to just leave it be....I hardly use my rear wiper even in the rain lol
