Faulty Turn Signal Socket

Hi Guys,

I'm new the forum and will be reading up on this site for future issues/questions, etc. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I have a question regarding the turn signal that has gone bad on my wife's '04 4Runner. I changed the bulb (right front) and it still has the 2x quick blink when the turn signal lever is switched to the right.
I noticed that the burnt bulb is actually ok but the socket portion is burnt/smoldered. Is this a simple fix? Can I swap out the socket myslef or is there a larger underlying problem? Bad negative lead?

Hopefully some of you 4R wrenchers can help me out.

Start by replacing the socket. If it goes bad again you'll have to troubleshoot further at that time.
