WTF? I don't know if anyone read my last post, but after dish soap, clay bar, rubbing compound, 2 washes, and 2 waxes, I thought I rid my ride of the fingerprints that were on the truck when purchased. after a few days of rain, I notice they are still visible, and my OCD will not allow it. can a good detailer possible know why they are there, and how to get rid of them? I don't know what could have caused them, I will try to get a picture of them, but I doubt it will come out. they seem like police dust prints, they are black, my only idea is possibly a chemical on a hand that burned the paint maybe? no idea, just frustrating.

Can you post a good macro shot of it ? I'm curious about those as I had something similar on a white Prelude , years ago . No , I didn't see your other post about this .

WD-40, Goo-gone, gasoline. Use one of these on a damped rag.

Um... NO!

Goo gone, maybe... But not the others.

A detailer can probably do it. You may need a stronger compound and/or a buffer. You may just not be able to do enough by hand.

Definetly a no on the gasoline since it will etch the paint with any kind of rubbing.

For reals? I spilled gasoline (91 octane) so many times when filling up. Also used gasoline to take off somebody's bubble gum stuck on top of my hood. No probs so far.
