30k Miles Maintenance

For those of you that have reached 30k miles, what on the list in the Guide did you do? I already did the Differentials and Transfer Case at about 20k miles. I just wanted to see if anyone did anything special beside oil/filter and lubrication of drive shaft, etc. Thanks for the help

I changed the transmission fluid, complete flush, and replaced with Amsol synth fluid.

I'm coming up for the service, I did my diffs and transfer case at 20k (I swapped to Mobil 1 syn). I also did my tranny flush (just Toyota ATF type IV) at 20k.

I always replace my air filter at 10K intervals (offroad a bit). But it recommended to change at 30k. Cabin filter as well, I just make my own.

I know flushing the tranny fluid is one of those debated subjects but how do you do it? Thanks for the help

Either your dealer can do it, or you can take it to a lube place with flush machine tat uses the tranny internal pump to move the fluid. But plenty of (15 - 18 qt) ATF. They normally connect to your tranny cooler lines on the radiator and then cycle the fluid through. They sometimes drop the pan and clean the mesh as well.

Yea I picked up some pink stuff from the dealer $ 16/gal. Hopefully the weather will cooperate over the holiday so I can change this. I also replaced the power steering fluid with ATF. You can only remove a couple of ounces at a time by siphoning the steering reservoir out. So I do this once each weekend for several stints. Guess I’ll do this a couple of times over a few weekends to insure that get most of it changed.
