Anyone in Richmond area want my double deck cargo tray? Would like an even swap for trim without the cargo tray

Made some progress on my 4Runner. Thought you guys might like to see.
Just after we bought it.
~original[/IMG]
265/70r17 Coopers. Got a great deal on them and I am really happy with my choice.
Prepping for Plasti-Dip. I did the wheels the front and rear center sections of the bumpers and the roof rack.
This is just after the lift. I did it at a friends shop. Daystar 2.5/1.5
And here we are on Corolla Beach NC. Last weekend. Truck was just perfect. 21+mpg from Richmond. Never even flinched at the deepest sand. Yeah. Im happy.

I live in Williamsburg, but commute to Richmond a few times a week as I am a VCU student. It would be nice to get VA members together to meet and wheel, pretty much every runner I see around is stock as well. Its nice to know there are others out there.

So THAT's why all the stores are sold out of index cards!
I decided my next 4Runner is going to be a Strato Blue 4th gen. I was stalking one in Ashland that was a Sport a couple of months ago. It was waaaay over priced and I really won't be ready for a "new" one for about 8 months, when my oldest starts driving.
I'm in Richmond but I don't wheel except for the beach.
Nice rig. Why have you not removed the running boards?

Ha. Yeah. That was a pain in the rear. But I am really pleased the way it turned out. Id never messed with Plasti Dip but It was super easy to use
We got a good deal on our 4Runner. Paid just under 14k out the door. It ticked all the right boxes. She wanted "a blue one with the V8 engine" lol.
The step rails are coming off in the next few days. We are going to Crabtree falls/Shoe Creek on the 11-13 of Oct. Wish I had some sliders to replace them with but if I take em off at least they wont get busted to pieces.

You got a great deal. Theo ne on eBay would get to $18,500 and the dealer would shut it down. They listed it about 4 times. I'm not sure what it sold for but it's gone from their lot. I was prepared to pay $14,500.
I've been camping at Crabtree Falls and it's really nice. And in the boonies. I wasn't aware you could 4 wheel around there. Can you?

The last time I had been to Crabtree was like 15 years ago. I admit I am not very familiar with the area. Saturdays trip looked like nothing I remember from all those years ago. I bet the real camping area from my memory is right around the corner from where we were. We saw 5 or 6 groups camping right on the trail. Looked like great little places to be. But small and already occupied. If It were me though I would make reservations at one of the campgrounds. Plenty of room for a large group. If the sites right on the trail are taken there really is no other place to go.
There is a small parking lot that has a small bathroom building right at a crabtree ? walking trail head. Around the corner from that is the "road" or what turns into the OHV trail. This is accessed off RT11?. Not too far from North/South I81. This could probably be driven to by any normal ride height automobile.
We came in from Richmond through Cville towards Lynchburg then took some back roads to make the trail head from the opposite side. Sometimes referred to as the lower Shoe Creek Trail. It took around an hr to drive the trail. I would recommend a least a small lift and decent tires. We were close to crunching a few rocks a couple of times but made it through ok. A determined stock owner could probably make it.
We ended up getting lunch at the Rest Stop Burger King on 81 and then just taking 64 home. All told it was a half to 3/4 day trip.

Glad you had a good time. I can't remember the name of the campground but it was rustic.
CarMax in No. VA has this 05 for $17k. I won't be buying a "new" 4Runner until at least June 30, the earliest date my son can get his license. Maybe someone else needs it:

No T4R stickers on mine, but I also would be interested in getting some
Possibly T4RVA stickers?

No stickers on mine either, but soon. I've got my center caps blacked out so that's the only way you could really tell with me at the moment.
