ended up biting the bullet and having it installed at a shop (Hurley's Auto Audio in Tysons Corner); I'm willing to do modest installs, but anything electrical and I'm waaaaay out of my depth!
as a side-note: I'm incredibly happy with the results. I'm quite frankly shocked at the output of these lights. It always confused me as to why a 2016 40k truck didn't come with HIDs stock. Either way - if you're looking for a relatively cheap upgrade, this is the way to go - I'm so happy with these.

Hi everyone, new to 4Runner community. I just picked up a 2017 TORP w/KDSS in the Baltimore area. I'd be interested in meeting up.

Where did you get it done at?
I am trying to figure out how to set up an electrical plug and play system for all the stuff I am getting. I have my main light bar (not installed). looking to put in a bumper light, rear lights, 4 flood lights (2 each side). Compressor, fridge, and CB. I know a lot of $#!+ on the electrical system.

Am I the only one that thinks 4Wheel Parts is kinda over priced though? Great in a pinch but I wouldn't shop there unless I had no choice.

I do all my own work so I don't know about their labor or quality of work but years ago when I was building my Cherokee their prices were out of line. Who knows, maybe they've come down now or maybe I just shop around more than most.

I am learning to do my own work. The amount I have been quoted for wiring from a few places i think is a bit much. I have a little over 2 months till some of the stuff comes in. So hoping to have all the wireing done. Then just plug and play.

Wiring is not something any shop can do. Lots of shops will do it, but you'll regret it and you get what you pay for. Everyone thinks they're good with electrical but the truth is, very few shops actually are. Just had to fix wiring on both my sisters car and hew boyfriends car. I live out of state, they were both in a rush, both regretted it. Electrical tape, non insulated connectors, wiring run over carper and under seats, it's pretty pathetic what some of these shops will do and think it's OK.

I have seen shit work like that far to often. Back in the 90s when base was huge. People running amp wires all over the place, around door hinges and stuff instead of through the firewall and dash.
I really want it to be very clean and neat. The only thing i want to be amatuer is the patch collection. Of which I have ordered the "TRD amatuer" patch and "beer runner" patch

Anyone have an OEM TRD skid up for sale? Looking to buy today or tomorrow if possible. May entertain other skids also if there's one out there.

HiLux Surf Off Road
Haven't posted on here in a while, but Recently moved to MD (MoCo County) and met someone who runs a FB page for DMV Local meets and was able to meet up with one of them through the group. We meet up pretty consistently, with trail rides, camping, car meets and such. It's: "HiLux Surf Off Road". Cheers
