Installed a Odyssey 34R PC1500 Battery in the OEM battery tray. It fit perfectly with the added height adapter. No mods needed. This replaces the Panasonic Battery that is now 7 years old. It had not failed but it was OLD. This battery Is the primary battery. I also have a second Optima as a Back-up
