Sport comes standard with XREAS and is optional on the Limited. having not driven nor been in a T4R w/out XREAS, i can't comment on comparison to a non-XREAS T4R. XREAS was supposed to help with handling. compared to my Pathfinder there's no question the T4R handles better especially with turns...
dudes on the Pathfinder forum were saying that the FJ won't be 'renewed' after this life cycle either. said 2010 or so will see its demise. of course no source to the comments, so it remains to be seen.
i can't see the 4Runner getting axed. and i'm with the one other guy... give us the 5.7L...
could be true but i've seen TWO on the road since they came out. same with the X6 that apparently is selling out everywhere as well. seen one of those.
i hit the governor once on the Turnpike. the engine re****ed right when i hit 110mph.
still trying to find an opportune time to hit the governor in my Pathfinder along the Parkway but it's been hard. i had her at 110 saturday night over the Driscoll bridge and wimped out in case there were cops...
thought this may be of interest to some here. i hope they drop this power plant in the next gen T4R...
MT claims TRD Supercharged Tundra can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds

and...
that looks nice! although it looks similar to the GX series Lexus.
i've seen only two LX 570's on the road and thought they looked terrible. makes me understand why people by me drop the coin on Range's despite their horrible reliability.
Chipotle is a MUST EAT whenever i travel to DC/MD. shame they don't have any remotely close to us.
glad to see your truck is back to it's original self.
i was coming from a 3rd Gen T4R and the thought of a V8 was all i needed. i never even test drove the V6. also, at the time, the 6 only had a 4spd auto where as the 8 had a 5. it was an easy choice.
my brother got an '08 T4R sport w/ the V6 and it's plenty powerful. he loves the thing.
the biggest reason for possibly retaining the T4R is that you've had since day one and know how you've driven it and took care of it. The Acura may have some skeletons lurking it it's closet.
the Pathfinder. be it from a stop or on the highway (ex. 60mph to 100+mph). besides it being 2wd (has auto 4x4/4x4 Hi/4x4 Lo) it has a larger engine than the T4R. the T4R takes turns much better though. hopefully the new T4R will get the 5.7L V8!
the only cool thing is that i've yet to see...
if you want something small and rectangle, i'd suggest Hella 550's. small, very inexpensive and very bright. i'm sure there's someone who could offer a better opinion though.

as i've said a few times on here... i too, was ready to buy one. the saving grace (on my wallet and sanity) was the GC SRT-8 forum. take a look at all the problems these things have, some not even 2 weeks from the dealership. it'll blow your mind.
