Its a dust boot the tie rod is not broken fi ti was broke he woluld not be able to steer.... and this is a ball joint.... the dust boot keeps dirt out and grease in... that is all most people dont catch them untill its too late to save it (kinda like a c.v. shaft) so no eductate needed thanks

fix it yourself!!! like 10 minutes..unless you have a warranty on it still . I dont know if that is covered but you could drive it like that for thousands of miles

a split dust boot? thats not damage! thats normal wear...how many miles on your toy? I would fix it if it is recent if not wait untill the whole thing goes bad.... but if your really worried about it they sell replacement boots at napa .....

wow good numbers and I guess I hit the nail on the head with the 213? but mine was @ almost sea level...in third gear and I dont have that dip maybe the knock sensor picked up something and pulled the timeing back for a milisecond?????? are you stock? and was that with the diff locked?...mike

my 06 at 800 miles dynoed 213 awhp on a awd mustang dyno with the diff locked without it the traction control would cut in and cause erratic sp? readings but that is at almost sea level good luck with the dyno.... I know when I go to tahoe my runner runs alot more slugish than when Im in the...

I locked my center diff they told me that it turns off the trac-control and they didnt want it to kick in if the wheels spun and second reason was that the power was equal at the front and rear wheels? It did not hurt anything good luck:D
