What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I used that Automotive Touchup Desert Dune base on my gate and rear fender after I scraped it up against a concrete pillar. Can confirm that it is a superb match, super happy with it and will certainly buy it again next time I need a color match.

    Hunter Odyssey Battery

34R-PC1500 also fits just fine, but you might need to make a new bracket bar for it (I did).

If you do, there really is a variety of flush mounted motorcycle turn signals that are perfectly suited for this. You can dodge all of the housing modification if you want to. But I guess ultimately the wiring was more time consuming, and there's really no dodging that. If you try it out and...

Remember to take it easy for the next 50k or so. Still breaking it in.

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

I'm using a Stant 14077 170 degree thermostat. Keeps the engine around 179-181 according to the OBD2, which is maybe a little too cool (stayed around 190 with the stock thermostat). I'm not getting any ping at all with only that, 92 gas, and being around sea level. No other fuel mods, or even...

To Everyone who made Rear Storage, Question I never seen addressed.

I ended up leaving my road trouble gear (ie. what I need if I slide ass-first into a snowbank... folding shovel, hi-vis vest, flares, etc) in a separate, exposed grab bag for this very reason: My "change a flat" kit is in the drawer, though--if I can't get to the drawer, then I sure as hell...

If you're looking to save space and don't need so much bass that a full box is required, consider one of these: Sound Ordnance B-8PTD Had mine for a few years now, love it. They fit perfectly under the seat, and have a good kick to them.

    The 3.4L TRD Supercharger Thread

Toyota has stopped production, but apparently Magnusson (who made them for Toyota) is now making them off-brand. So you can get one brand new if you want to drop the coin, and it's likely that some will continue to trickle into eBay/CL as time goes on: Toyota 3.4L V6 Supercharger System -...

Hmm... and looking at it, now I think I want to black out the door handles too. I think that'll probably wait until I want to properly house the rear door speakers.

"They look stock" is about the nicest thing someone could say about it, thank you. :) Front end still needs some tweaking... even tightened up, the bumper is able to tip down ever-so-slightly, and that causes the front fender flare to pinch. So I have some adjustments to make there before I can...

And this is how it sits with the bumper and mirrors more or less sorted out now. Couple of little tweaks still in progress, but nothing really that visible until I eventually figure out the sliders situation. That'll probably be late this summer.

I think I could have worked the corners in a bit better, but I felt like I was taking enough chances with the dremel as it was. I'll feel better about it once I properly fill in the backs with a bit of black putty. BTW, watching your AEM install in MTD's thread. That's the route I'm going to go...

Finished painting and augmenting my mirror housings with turn signals: Clip of them in action: Turn Signal gifv clip Longer writeup on my build thread. Super happy with how they turned out, seems like they should hold up pretty well.

I'm still in the "will it break if I touch it?" phase, but so far the install seems robust, and the lights themselves are brilliant. Very visible in my blind areas. You're welcome, fellow motorcyclist! Sorry for trying to merge overtop of you! I've already changed over to an LED compatible...

Mirror Indicators Decided to mend the chipped paint on my mirrors. Which naturally led to unnecessary improvements! My alter-ego is that of a mild mannered motorcyclist. In recent years, I have come to appreciate the advent of mirror mounted turn signals, which have on-occasion provided timely...
