In my 97 build and repair thread I show how I made VR booster using the GM diode and a fuse circuit doubler to use the diode and keep the fuse protection.

I’ve done three sets of heads over the years and used YotaShop’s head replacement kit for all of them. One important thing I learned over the years of wrenching is running a tap through the head bolt threads in the block to ensure the torque is correct.

All I did with my chronic seal leak after replacing the vent didn’t cure it was replace the seal in the axle housing. I have a complete spare axle assembly if needed. It’s been two years and around 15k miles. No leaks and no failed bearing…….so far. I have 75-140 synthetic in the rear.

Who makes your trans cooler? It looks sweet. At one time I was looking for a thermal couple washer to put under the drain plug to monitor the oil temp.

That’s good to hear. Toyotas missfire algorithm isn’t that good. IMO. Depending on brand of coil you purchased I’d look for a Denso if you didn’t get one. Put the non Denso coil in your toolbox as an emergency spare. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your check engine was flashing and then went out? Usually in a missfire condition it will flash then go steady. Your dialogue box is a code reader? If so what codes do you have when you say nothing out of the ordinary. How old are your plug wires and the coil booties. Sent from my...
