My brother did something similar in his Xterra years ago. He mounted two of those fork mounts to a 2x4 and cut it to fit the width of the cargo area. I myself prefer to have my bike outside my truck. I usually find some mud on the trails and don't want to track it in!

A 5.9L Cummins would be SOOO heavy in a truck that size. You would need a lot of reinforcement in the front. Way too much work for it to be worth it. Are you doing this swap yourself or having someone do it? Do you have a budget?

Going to need a LOT more information. What gen. 4runner? Auto or 5spd? Budget? Engine swaps in modern vehicle is no easy/cheap task.

TRD offroad models have the locker. TRD Sport models have rear LSD.

That's clearly all your looking at. The Mazdaspeed3 is faster in every other way. But, they are two completely different vehicles so who cares.
